Every Indian Men is not a Psycho Patient..

I was turning pages of a news paper. Suddenly my eyes were stuck on a blog written by a Bombay based celebrated women and secular activist..

After reading the blog i thought for some time... what these writers wants to show or achieve by writing this type of negative things.

The gist of the blog was, "India is a nation of idiots, rapist and full of uncivilized men. The whole of India is unsafe for women.

According to today's media all Indian men are potential rapist.

i Guess we are becoming a society of hypocritical people. I am not talkink about any single article or writer. It is becoming a fashion these days to generalize any particular instance.

yes.. I know. Our sisters and mothers need to be safe guarded and protected. And any one doing mischief with them needs to be punished brutally with out any mercy. but this is also not justifiable if you look at every men with a doubtful eye, as if we are demons.

Let me clarify some accusation by the media about me and my nation.

1^st Accusation : India is a degrading place for Women

My Stand : No.India is not a degrading or dangerous place for women. we respect women with highest order. From centuries, India is the only place on earth where women's worshiped as god. No other major religion or society worship women as deity.

We in India worship saraswati as a source of knowledge and MAA shakti as destroyer of evil. we consider our daughters as laxmi.

I am not denying the fact that, Violence against women is there in our society but you can not blame the whole gender for this.

2nd Accusation : All Men are potential rapist.

Blame an individual not all. Do not generalize the whole gender. The impact of these type of propaganda is, all women looks at men as if they are the demons or Fox. Due to this, trust deficit is growing in society. which is certainly not good for a developing nation.

A men can be a good friend or a teacher, a helping Auto Driver, a good police officer, or a uncle or a even can be a good lover..

Yes. I agree, our society has enough individual men with psychiatric disorder and they are threat to our whole society not just to women. But at the same time this is not true also that all men are rapist.

3rd Accusation:Violence against Women is highest in India.

Forget about highest or lowest. a single instance of Misbehave, family Violence or abuse to women should not happen. It is the most heinous crime any man can do.

But, India is not a nation where violence against women is highest as it is commonly believed. USA and many western nation are far more dangerous for women as compare to India. Data and statistics are available in Internet. any one can check.

What I Feel is, Media loves negativity and it give business also. but these negativity impact our whole society and our joint family relation.

It should not..

Yes this is a global phenomena and awareness needs to be increased and law needs to be tougher to deal with harassment, violence and eve-teasing against women..

But India as a nation is not a degrading place for women..

Mahaprasad of Lord Jagannath.. Some Facts

There are hundreds of interesting facts are associated with Lord Jagannath and his temple. Mahaprasad is one of them.
Mahaprasad is the main offering of rice in the lord jagannath temple. In most temple of India, devotee may take "Prasad" but only here in jagannath puri one will get Mahaprasad. No other temple in India is rice offered as the main prasad to deities. It is said that mahaprasad is cooked by no one but mother lakshmi herself.

The temple kitchen where it used to be prepared is considered to be biggest hotel in the world serving all with out reservation or previous notice. Daily 10,000 may be feed. but in big festival days it may be up to one lakh.


The daily menu includes total 56 items. It is a very hard task for any men to cook all 56 items for so many. Clay pots are placed in a special earthen oven. Five in numbers one on top of another. Yet the one on the top is cooked first, not last.

The test of Mahaprasad has not changed from centuries. No one, even can duplicate the taste out side the temple. Not even the peoples who cook it inside the temple. 
When cooks carry the bhog from the kitchen to the temple, it has no Vasana, no fragrance, no sweet aroma. But.. after offering, when they carry it from the temple to the ANAND BAZAR for sale, it smells divinely sweets.

one interesting fact about the kitchen is, if mother lakshmi is displeased with the preparation, a dog will appear mysteriously on the temple grounds. As no dog is allowed to enter the temple, this dog is said to be KUTMA CHANDI, a tantric goddes in charge of purification of food. if the dog seen, all the food must be buried and prepared again.

one believe is that, to seal any promise or vow, two friends holds a pot of mahaprasad together and eat together from same pot. after doing this there friendship became larger than life.

Among the 56 items, my favorite one is by milk preparation :

• KHIRI (khir is originated in jagannath temple kitchen only) 
• KHUA
• CHENNA KHAI.

And please do not forget to take Dalma .. The odia special.

one last thing.. while taking the mahaprasad one should chant following Hymn..

Jagannath Tastwa Nividya,

Nasti Sanspasta,

Dusanam Sakruta Vakshana

Matruna papevwo muchyate puman..... (from Brahamnda Puran)

Meaning : May i commit no more sin in past, present, or future. 

                 By eating this mahaprasad offred to lord jagannath.

 

The River Sindhu and our Identity..

We are the people from one of the oldest civilization on earth. I follow the ancient religion that man  kind has ever known.. But wait. !! what is my religion ??? . I am a Hindu and the place i am living is known as Hindustan..
But the fact is, there is no mention of Hinduism or about the word Hindu in my holy books. then from where this name Hindu came from ???. In Mahabharata, Ramayana or in Bhagavad Gita i did not find the word HINDU. If any one will go to other major religious books he can easily find the name of that religion in those books. But it is exceptional in case of HINDU.

From several thousands of years we used to follow the great Sanatana Dharma or else known as "Vedic religion" .Then how suddenly "Sanatana Dhrma" has changed to Hinduism ??.

Here is The Fact :

The word Hindu has came from the river "Sindhu". Our whole identity has been derived from this river.
when Persians first came to this piece of land they find it difficult to pronounce  the word "Sindhu". So over the time they pronounce it as HINDU and the people who used to live here also knows as Hindus. That is how name of my religion Hinduism came. 

Up to this it clear how important the river Sindhu is for us..Even our national anthem also contain this name(Punjab Sindhu, Gujarati, Maratha..).

But do you know, where this great river is flowing now ??? .

The most tragic part of the great Indian partition is, the river Sindhu also knows as Indus river is not a part of India any more. Its flow through Pakistan.. How Amazing ... some thing for which we are known for is not belong to us any more..

Partition of sub continent and creation of Pakistan has changed every thing. it steals my name from me.. but to whom i should blame for this.. don't know.. i have no answer... only thing i know is, i have lost my Identity for ever..
